Since I have not gotten a buck EVER, yes I would take the shot and at that angle.

I would feel comfortable taking the shot. Straight on between the shoulders,or a full broadside are the only angles I'll squeeze off a shot at.

I would not take that shot. I don't have enough experience in the field with a bow to take that shot.

I wouldn't attempt that shot with a Bow either. But He does have a very fine Rifle there. A friend I hunt with has the exact same rifle. Thompson Center and it's an "In There Tracks Stopper". I hunt with a Winchester 30/30 I call Old Reliable. I also still use the open sights which still work fine for me. In my personal opinion, It's all about concealment to give yourself the time for that good clean kill shot. Or the Deer will live on to be Hunted another day. Safe and Happy Hunting to You all. Leo
