I'm looking to get a decent, used lever-action .22 just for target shooting. How much should I expect to pay for one? |

A lot. Last time I looked at lever action(new) 22s in the late 70s they all ran close to $300. Although you never know what you will find at garage or estate sales. I got a WW2 Mauser at an estate sale many years ago for $75. If you hit a place like that where the people have no idea what they're selling you could just get a real bargain. One tip If you find some amazing deal on something don't start sweating and shaking.pay for it and get out. I also have an old Winchester pump 22 I got for $25 and had appraised at minimum $250 but its in out of box condition. |

I just purchased a Savage single shot lever action at my local pawn shop for $100 out the door. I don't know if you have tried scouring your local pawn shop but i have found many a treasure in mine... |

You can get a new Henry 22 lever action for just between $350-300 and they are fine firearms. |

Henry's are reasonably priced. A Marlin or a Winchester will cost you a lot more, even used.

Thanks for the help guys! It's good to know basic prices. I have two pump actions (Winchester and a Remmington) but would like a level now too. |

Henry makes the model H001 .22 S/L/LR lever-action for between $270-$340 depending on where you find them. My local Walmart has one priced for $277, so with tax it would be around $300, and they are wonderful guns. HUNT 'EM UP! |

I own a Henry heavy Octagonal barrel 22 and a Browning lever 22. The Browning cost a bit more and is a better firearm IMHO than the Henry (aluminum receiver painted Black). Get BL 22, you can find a good used model for about $300 |
