Been thinking about getting a new bow. I currently shoot a Mathews Switchback XT. Been doing a lot of reading over the last few months and I got it narrowed down to these 3. Mathews Monster(MR5) or Mathews Helim or PSE X- Force Omen Pro. Looking for some help on deciding. Give me your guys thoughts.

Well fool If I were you I would get back to basics and go buy yourself a traditional setup. Every Mathews I have seen shot is loud and exspensive, I guess someone hass to pay thier huge marketing bill. When you take a game animal with a trad setup you will get a high like no other and you will be hooked for life. In the event your not up for the pepsi challenge, I would go with the pse.

I shoot a Reezen 6.5 and have pulled back the Helium numerous times and thinking about upgrading!!! My opinion is single cam is better than 2 cams any day. Go with the helium!! If not I got a sweet loaded Reezen setup we could talk about

could you explain why a single cam is superior, in my mind i see unbalanced energy being released causing all sorts of potential problems

It really comes down to personal preference and there could be debates over the 2 of them to last centuries. Dual cam bows have to be exactly in tune with each other or they won't rotate the same. It's just one more thing I don't want to factor in when there are so many things that can affect a shot.

If it were me I'd go with the Omen Pro. I'm planning on getting one in the next couple years. Love the feel of the bow and how fast they shoot. I also like the idea of one pin out to 40 yards.

I'd stick with the Heli. I shoot the Z7 Extreme and it seems as though the Heli is just the new version of the Z7 family. You can't go wrong. I'd probably stay away from the Monster. When I was in the market for a new bow I was going to look at one and was told that the Z7 is just simply a better bow. I can't say for sure because I haven't shot one. As far as sound goes, it's quiet. I'll speak for all the Z7's since I have one. There are no issues with loudness. I'd stick with a Mathews, although PSE makes a good bow too...except for the one I upgraded from. LOL.

Dual cams must be set so they roll in perfect sync. It's not a big issue with the string material made today , but stretch will throw them out of timing and put your arrow tuning in the dumper, and tweaking it back in isn't a no brain er kind of job .With a single cam bow there are no issues with timing because the top wheel is round . That's what that innovation is all about , and stood the test of time . It's not superior as the dual has a hair advantage on the thrust stroke , but it sure proved itself as being more shooter friendly .
    Hope that helped .

It's very simple actually; just shoot all three and make a choice? Good luck!
