What side of the riser does the arrow rest on ? South paw bows are on the right . Limbs are always the same , the riser is left for RH and right for LH . That's so the dominant eye has a clear view with the draw hand being used . The grip hand to the bow is opposite , that's why it sounds backwards and makes it that way. |

Huh? Who in the world taught you to shoot? That bow must be very awkward to shoot at best? Even if you taught yourself, you should really try to work on shooting correctly, meaning a proper bow that will allow you to shoot with proper form. Wow, gonna be hard to break the bad habits. |

My dauther is right handed, but left eye doment, she holds a gun or bow right handed, but uses the left eye to aim. I am left handed, so it is hard to show her how to hold and aim anyway, but let me tell you it is harder, trying to correct that. |

So you shoot a left handed bow with your left hand on the grip or you are just shooting a left handed bow with your right hand on the grip and are actually right handed, but didn't realize the bow was for lefties? I'm mostly right handed, but I'm pretty ambidextrous and can also shoot a rilfe either way, although if I pick one up quick and don't think I'll shoulder it on my left. Pistols I shoot right handed, I play pool left handed, and I write left handed while throwing right handed. My left eye is dominant so I shoot my bow left handed, although I can shoot a right handed bow it just makes more sense to use the side of my dominant eye. |

maybe..or maybe after your discription of right and left may have straightened him out..had a young fellow several years ago told me I didn't know what I was talking about..because I said you hold your right hand bow with your left hand...told me I was backwards...if ya held it with the left it was a lefty...maybe this fella thought the same....

I started out shooting a right handed bow (I'm a lefty and left eye dominant). Actually, I was pretty good with it, although I had a limited range of probably 10-15 yards...probably closer to ten. That was I think only the first year of hunting. Then I upgraded to a left handed bow...and now I'm hooked on bow hunting for life. LOL |

i guess i might have it backwards because i hold the bow with my right hand. and pull the string with my left the arrow rest is on the left side. i still dont know alot about bows i just started bow hunting this season. and now i dont know if it is right or left but which ever it is its the most comfortable for me.

Well jwynn4 you are shooting a right handed bow left handed . If you think that is comfortable , try a left handed bow . One shot and you'll be saying "WOW" . |

I'm left eye dominate and shot a rt handed bow....my rifles are left handed and shot guns ..thumb safety with bottom eject.....I have no problem with this because I shoot instinctive...no need for peeps and sights.... |

I'm a lefty too. Hold the bow with my right hand and release with my left. Sometimes it's difficult to get left handed accessories. I bought a [righty] lighted Cobra sight and had to mount it upside down. My Wisker Biscuit quickdraw is mounted backwards. Doesn't matter, they work the same. |
