It is nice, but the Slope is all business. There's no housing, no schools, no kids in Deadhorse. It's companies and mancamps. There's not even a general-store (7-11) type of place since the mancamps supply all the food you could ever need. No movie theatre, no bookstore, nothing but business. Most bigger camp places have some need-it shops for necessary items. I love the wildlife that wanders all over, caribou and muskox, and the prairie foxes. I played chicken with a herd of caribou on the road once (they won). And just miles and miles of open tundra between the oil and gas production sites.
