Anyone shoot a Green Mountain .54-120 Brush Rifle? Bought one in stainless and sure wish I had bought the blued one that they reserved for me.This is one handy cannon, can't understand why Knight Rifles ever went to the .52,the .54 with three sabot choices gives way more bullet options, the purple sabot has more choices by itself. Don't give me the petal thickness crap 'cause that's a bogus argument also. |

You'll like the stainless version better when it's cleaning time! My T/C Encore in stainless last night. Fired 6 shots through over the last 2 weeks . It took 6 patches! Cleaned a buddies blued version the other day, with 15 shots through it , and it took about 20 patches! Same loads used in both! American Pioneer powder and T/C shockwave bullets w/ezglide sabots. |

I have one too. I love mine but I shoot 415gr cast hollow points out of mine. I have decent groups with 100 gr of blackthorn 209 but I need to play with the charge and see if I can shrink the groups. I'm about 1.25" at 50, which is fine for the hunting I do with the gun but why not play with the charge and see if it will get any better. If you ever decide to sell yours please let me know, I would love to have another. Micky |

Come on Micky, sell me yours.I shoot a Remington .50 cal. Core-locked Ultra over 100 grains Blackhorn-209,its a shotgun slug in a 50x54 sabot.Good groups at 50 yrds but this load in my Rem.700ML with the modified bolt will produce 3 shot cloverleaf groups.I'm gonna try the .54-120 at 100yrds to see if it will do the same both guns were dialed in at 50 yrd.Down here in eastern NC its thick and swampy but lots of deer.
