    Does anyone else think the rut is running late this year, could it be the heat and drought this year, maybe the cold front coming in today will help, not seen much this year. whats your views.

    From what I have been told the young bucks are starting to chase but the old guys haven't shown any intrest yet. I haven't seen any activity yet.

    took a small buck last weekend black powder and starting to see more action on my cameras so hope is not lost yet good luck.

    I've had the small bucks chasing for about a week. The big boys are starting to finally show some interest. It's a bit later than normal, but should be a full blown rut for rifle season this year.

    The rut is starting to heat up in NE Ok. saw a ton of new rubs that weren't there last week and spite of the wind got a 125" 10 pt. sat morn

    Think the rut hit right on for gun season and seems like it lasted for a good while. Have heard the the secondary rut is on now.
