Each January, my church, Union Christian Church, located on the east side of Terre Haute, IN., holds a wonderful wild game dinner, selling a maximum od about 225 tickets. They give prizes donated by local business'; and have an excellent speaker to go along with it. The game is donated by local hunters, for which each deer given receives a free dinner ticket. As we have a considerable problem with too many deer, I usually give at least 2 myself as well as giving most of the others I manage to kill to such places as our local Light House Mission and families who are in need of meat for the winter. |
