Sorry to tell you, but posting your question here was a waste of time! The forums are not the way to reach any of the magazine or member services people. Go down to the bottom of the page, click on the "contact the club" button, and you will be able to send them an e-mail, or call them at the number provided. No one reads the forums except for club members, and none of us can help you.

Usually their 48 hours actually means a week, if they bother at all! Sometimes, it takes a message back to them reminding them of their message in reply to your original message! BTW, don't delete their messages, and use them to reply so that they can read the lies they told you earlier!!!!!!!!

I just saw a Pic of someone named Brausch with a pretty good speed goat on page 87 of the mag. And it was in the section for the Top Ten Awards. #1 was a black bear. But the photo is there, at least in the magazine my wife just forwarded to me from FL to my duty station. You may want to go back and look at it again.

Or are you just upset that it didn't get on the website?

Yep, it's in the August mag. Maybe you forgot that it takes a while to layout each issue, and what they receive this month probably won't get published until the October or November mag!

Hey flags, good to hear from you! Hope you're keeping your head down, your rifle loaded, and your ammo close!!!!!!!!!!! Take good care of yourself!!!

Just curious, but what's the big deal? If you got the photo in a national publication and have it entered in the record book, then why does it matter if the pic is online? You say you got the boots and plaque too, so the club did acknowledge the quality of the animal. Is it an ego thing? Does it make the experience of taking a really good pronghorn any less if it documented online? Is the trophy any less a trophy if nobody outside your circle of friends knows about it?

I've taken a lot of really good animals over the years but the only satisfaction I wanted was for myself. I never really cared who else knew or had any desire to proclaim my success on a national platform. Who's glory do you want publicly proclaimed, the pronghorn's or your own?

    Again, just curious.

Well Let me explain , I put in 30 years in the US Army, Retired  holding the posistion as First Sergeant . I guess I expect people that are given responsibility in the club to follow through on the job., Completely! Yes iT's a EGO thing, Is that what you want to hear. MY Claim to fame, Yea wright! NOT! I had nothing to do with putting the Horns on the animal,

Well, I've spent over 23 years in the Navy am a Chief and I'm still showing up for morning quarters. What the hell does the fact that both of us have spent a long time in the military prove? Seems to me that you got your panties in a twist over a very minor thing. Maybe that's the difference between the Navy and the Army. We tend not to sweat the little stuff. And not having a pic online is pretty minor considering it made the magazine and the record book and you got the trinkets from the club.

Years ago I took a really good Cape Eland near the border of South Africa and Zimbabwe on my 3rd safari. The Professional Hunter was all excited about it and kept talking about how big it was. That night, without my knowledge he put a tape to it and scored it. That is something I have never done. The next morning he told me he scored it and asked if I wanted to know where it would place in the record book. I told him that he could just keep that info to himself because an anima'ls score in a record book was not the reason I came to Africa. I have a personal photo and the shoulder mount proudly resides in my trophy room. To this day I don't know where it would place in the book and frankly I don't care.

The hunt and the knowledge the animal was cleanly taken is what I care about. Not the fact that I could post the picture online and thump my chest about it. Guess we're just gonna have to acknowledge that we'll look at things like that differently.

So you put time in the Navy as a chief !  Didn't you expect your people to do their job completely? You ask the question and then stated just curious! Seem like you wanted to stir something up. What does it matter to you? So are we going to resolve this or do we have to duke it out? HaHa! I just wanted the club to do the job they are paid for and to do it correctly.  Thats All! I've heard alot of complaints  about them not following through, and I wasn't going to let them this time.

The club doesn't work for me. And, they don't work for you. As to someone doing their job, oversights happen. Always have, always will. As long as the sun keeps coming up in the East every day, most the rest the problems will work themselves out. In your 30 years in the service, you never had an oversight? You know damn well you did. We all have had oversights. Most are very minor and very few of them are major game changers.

It still looks like you're still crying about a very minor thing. I'm curious why such a minor thing is such a big deal to you since you got the national recognition in both the magazine and the record book. I would think that simply knowing you took a really good animal would suffice. What would you do if the internet didn't exist? Would the animal mean any less? Does the internet pic really make any difference in the scheme of hunting? Do you not realize that anti-hunters read forums like this and use our own words against us? To be so concerned about getting public recognition for a trophy gives them ammo to be used against all of us.

Well what a bunch of BS Sarge! Flags doesn't have any bitterness and he sure as chit isn't looking for a fight, LOL! Hells bells, he's right on the button as far as I'm concerned because I saw your pictures and writeup on another website. The one post sounded like a little crybaby because your buck scored less in the B&C book than SCI and you were pissed because it lost a couple inches. Damn shame when a person is pissed at shooting a buck that was just shy of 85"!!! Grow the F*** up and realize that what Flags stated was correct and if you want to beat your chest, then do a DIY hunt the next time and shoot something great, even thought that's not what hunting is all about! I know for a fact that buck had been scouted by the outfitter you went with in Washakie County and all you had to do was go out with them and pull the trigger on him opening morning, LOL! Not only that, but your writeup stated you missed with the first two shots with your Ruger #1 25-06 before killing him with the third shot. Then the writeup in the magazine says you got him with one great shot. Yea, right!!! Talk about embellishing things for your award and for ego gratification. You are one big loser in my book buddy!!!  Too bad the "Books" were ever created because there are too many people like you ruining hunting for the "glory of it all" to have your name in some BOOK
