So, I start out the day, trimming a few frames up for box calls (about 2 dozen) and our friend from the forums here, Holly and his bride stop by. What a great visit!!! Find out we stomped alot of the same ground out west before Miss Kathy and I moved here. Got to meet all the pups and they got to meet Lil'Bit and Lil'Man as well as my pups and the pups all meeting each other and so forth and so on. Just a nice visit. One of the reasons why I hang out in here is because we get to sometimes meet the good folks in person once in awhile. Later, Lil'Bit and I went out to check the hog trap and beaver traps. Door was down on the hog trap. As I eased up on the trap so I could see in it good, Lil'Bit let out a scream from the 4 wheeler. I spun around and ran back to learn that there was a big mean SPIDER on the handlebars. She "Don't LIKE spiders". Got to the trap and it was empty. Dang coons got in, sprung it and got back out. At least it wasn't a deer. Then we checked the beaver traps. All empty. In good spots, but they have to go through to get caught. Might have to put a bit of musk in the area to get them. From there, over to feed Lil'Bit's ducks. She HAD 3. The pair are doing good now. They were a bit wary now though since there is only 2 left. She has these mallards so fat they can't fly but a few feet before being worn out too much. She gave them the corn and bread and we headed back home. Stopped at an old friends who raises blueberries. Not ready yet, BUT, since Lil'Bit likes them so much he gave her a gallon bag of frozen berries and a jar of jelly to bring home. My night to cook, so I did my best recipe and got the pizza here hot and ready to eat. (Domino's) Then we settled in for a movie and snuggle time UNTIL someone's little butt sounded off, woke herself up and demanded a snack. Strawberry yogurt with blueberries in it. Nope, didn't finish the calls, didn't catch a hog, didn't get any beavers, didn't see 3 ducks, only 2, didn't pick no blueberries or rasberries and didn't do any dishes. We DID however, get to meet new friends, get to the woods, eat a belly full, take a nap (sorta), eat some SWEET late season frozen blueberries with yogurt and snuggle with a cutie. OH yeah, AND we HAD to call Unkie Tom in Tenn to check on him and Abe. Pretty good day if you ask me. Family, friends and the outdoors with a fresh set of eyes to see it through. AIN'T life GREAT????? |

You see, it's that "MAYBE" that gets you into trouble. I done built up 12 of them today instead of going hunting AND went to see the accountant (TAXES) and took Miss Kathy to lunch and took a nap and tuned all 12 boxcalls and now I'm here. HMMMMMMMmmmmm MAYBE your right, MAYBE I should go hunting one morning this week. Gee IF I had a phone number, MAYBE I could call someone to go along.....;-) |

NAH, Like I said, the day was SO nice out and we were having such a good visit, we never thought of going inside. When you come down, if it gets dark or wet or cold like near 70, we'll be inside....LOL |

If it gets towards 80 or above we come inside too. I'm fairly "High Maintenance". Got to be the right temp and weather, right food and good company for me to hang around very long. Of course a purty gal overrides everything. |
