It's easy to do yourself if you have a big pot. Anyone ever tried simply staking one over an ant pile?

In my early days I buried a hogs head hoping nature would take it's course. After two years and then digging holes all over the place, since I forgot were I buried the dang thing, I did find it and YUCK what a mess. It sure did not do well. From there I learn the quicker I removed the flesh and processed it the less hassle I had to endure.

do my own , boil the skull in sal soda after getting most of the meat off. the sal soda ( arm and hammer washing soda) turns the meat to a gel and can be scraped off very easy . then i mix beauty supply peroxide and basic white and brush it on . after it turns white i wash it off ,let dry and seal it with dull coat laquer. cabelas sell a kit or you can get one through van dykes

A buddy of mine puts his in with beetles, but they always smell when your done with it. One way is to boil it scrape what you can off then use a powerwasher to really strip it down. It sounds awfull but it works great. Then use bleach or buy a mix to paint on to whiten them- most taxidermy books have the stuff. i did 45 of them this year alone!
