I have never hunted out of my home state of N.Y. This year I would like to try to hunt in Ohio. The thing is they all look perfect on the web sites, but I would feel better going to a place that someone can refer to me. If anyone out there can refer a place a would help me greatly.

why use an outfitter in ohio.there is alot of great public land to hunt on and some really great bucks are taken each year from them.any of the state land in the east and southeast are your best bets for this.some of the camping may be primitive this time of year or you can stay at a motel at one of the many local towns.the terrain can be from moderate to very hilly with steep ravines.besure to buy the extra archery anterless tags at a reduced rate so you can take up to a total of 6 deer in those areas but only one buck.go to the ohio web-site and you can find more info.

I agree with Farmer Red1. I live in Ohio. There is plenty of public land and more than enough people that you could lease property from. Just have to do some research online and you will find leases all over the state. Good luck.

I would like to tell you of a guy I know that is starting up a semi guided hunt for southeast ohio,
his prices are fair 700 a week, private land, meals and very good land
I posted a guy last year, that did the same, only he turned out to be a jerk of sorts.
so I looked a little harder and found this guy
if you want all his info, Pm me your e-mail, and I will send you all the info i have
