How old is she?...not familiar with too many dogs except Labs, if she is young, socialize her a lot, put her on a long check lead and if she runs on you, blow your comeback whistle or call her name and then pull her back, get her used to responding to you at a distance. Obedience training is a must. Should be started gently at day one, just getting her used to the fact that your alpha and a source of great fun and enjoyment! If you are comfortable with a training collar they are useful, but not every dog will tolerate it, my young Female lab , Sage, is a hard driver, but not overly crazy about the collar, have conditioned her, but I believe she is just a little to young yet. Get some books/videos. No one said this training business is easy!..Hope this helps some....Red Dawg

Here's a pic of Dozer, my 10 month old yellow lab. He's a stong swimmer and loves to beat the brush for pheasant and quail. At 122# he's quite a handfull. |

This is Lexi (short for Alexis) my 8 month old English Springer. She comes from a good bloodline but I've neglected to get her into the field yet (Yuma, AZ is HOT and the summers don't allow much work time). I've got hopes for her. Darn! Picture didn't load. I'll get it done from home tonight. |
