The antelope I just got back from my taxidermist in Cody, Wyoming was $575 and by the time I paid taxes, an interstate game tag for legal transportation, and shipping charges I was over $700.

You gonna pay around $500-$550 for a whitetail shoulder mount. I would guess thats the mount your talking about. Of course it varys depending on species of animal your mounting. |

WOW! I just took my antelope to a local guy and he was charging $400. I though it was a little steep, but I guess it's a pretty good deal. Last deer I had mounted was $275 for a shoulder mount. I guess everything is going up. |

Most of the Shops up here in ND are $550.00 or more depending on their work load. Some are a year out or more, I am at 4-5 month turn around, would be sooner but I have to wait on my tannery . I don't tan in house because I like the quality I get from my tanner they do a wonderful job. Jeff |

Check the work before you leave your animals and a deposit.I have a friend who thought he found a great deal,Well when he got his mount back it looked so bad.Of course the guy who did the work said there was nothing wrong with it. |

I have found that you generally get what you pay for just like everything else. Sure you can pay $300 for a shoulder mount but it isn't going to look anything like one that costs $500 from a much better taxidermist. Because all taxidermist's are not equal. |
