Getting the steel is not going to be difficult, pricy but easy. The HARD part will be the hardening and tempering process. It's quite a job. This is gonna be awhile in coming but I think it'll work out good for all. For now, I ogts the stainless and damascuss blades.

Do you only make certain models or would you make a customer supplied design?

I much prefer to stay with my own designs. Not that your design may or maynot be the next great design. I just prefer to stay with my own designs.

I can understand that.
Have you ever made any knives out of old sawmill circular saw blades? I believe I read somewhere that they make a good knife blade. I just happened to run across one, but not sure how to go about making a knife out of it.

They do make a nice carbon steel knfe blade. Basically, cut the shape you want, gind it to the profile and sharpen. THEN comes the het treting and hardening. The saw blade is a great foundation for a good start but it doesn't get great until it's hardened and tempered.
