PVIGILETTI, Believe me I have already started scoping out work from other taxidermists, I think I am going back to my old one. His work was beyond great but his turn around time sucked. I'm talking like 1 1/2 years. But then again his work is definetly worth the wait. This guy did a lot of the mounts that you see in the Cabela's stores. Check out his work

Lungbuster,If your going to Rhinebeck checkout Fox studios.He is in Cold Spring on RT 301.I think you well be very happy with his work.I'm not home till the end of the week I can get his address.I went to him because I saw alot of his work at the big out door expo at RCC.

Cool. I used to work in Mt. Kisco for a plumber. real nice area . I never hunted down there though.

I only have one full mount, but have several europian mounts. All I will say is the normal quote "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" Johnson Taxidermy in Nebraska did mine (25 yr warrenty) and my full mont is life like encludes nostral and ear holes

Lungbuster,I might be huntimg in the Bedford area if a friend gets the ok.But we all know how that works.I do see some real monsters around here most die of old age.

Thats because of the bowhunting only rule. Sometimes I wish they would do that around were I am. Not only so the deer grow bigger but then it would seperate the men from the boys and get rid of most of the azzholes that are in t he woods.

You are correct my friend sometimes you just can't avoid them.It gets real scary during firearm season and you see just how plain stupid some guys really are.

Lungbuster ; Sorry to here about your mount, the antler and slippage problem sounds odd to me ,but please the next mount you need done check on other mount's by goeing to the Taxidermist's shop and look at his or her work first .  DJPhillips Retired Taxidermist Sulphur La. ...Venting is good at times with others , that understand , and please remimber to forgive and go on with God in your heart ........

All is fine now with the mount. He fixed it up for me and addmited that he screwed up. As far as seeing his workgoes. I did make a trip over there and look at his work. I went in before I dropped the head off with it in my mind that I would take it back home if I did not like his work. And besides I have a couple of friends who use him all the time and their stuff looks great.
