I love my Rage's! Never had any problems with them, other than I had a blade bend after hitting a bone. Like mgrimes and gbaker are saying, you have to make SURE that the notch on the back of the blade is firmly notched on the o-ring. I have 1 in particular that you have to "play" with it a little bit to get 1 of the blades to lock, but it works perfectly other than that. |

JJ - I have heard of one guy having the rage open in midflight but that was to his fault - he failed to check the slip ring (cracked from age) but he did harvest the deer anyway - just remember to keep them clean and good working condition like any other mechanical blade and you won't have any tbl GOOD LUCK AND GOOD HUNTING |

I was just out shooting and had the 3 blades not open up even afterf pulling them out of the target. I think I will stick with the G5 Monotechs |

I've lost two deer with one package of the three blades, won't ever use another Rage again. |

Been shooting the two blade for three seasons and have never had them not open. I have noticed less pass throughs though. The wound is so large that if you hit the ribs horizontally it will slow progress enough that my arrow does not always pass through. No worries though, I have not lost a deer since I switched to them. All of my friends have switched to them as well. I agree with gbaker10, you must insepect your equipment including your broadhead throughout the season. If you are using a quiver that has thick foam in it, cut some of it out so you do not deploy the blades while sticking them in. I switched to a quiver that does not use foam at all. Good luck to all of you this season, may we all shoot straight and take our game cleanly. |
