Well you have a fine place there....Wow a lime spreader ...that's next to impossible here ...unless you have an extra arm and leg hanging aroundThe hard work and planning you've put in really shows...it's tough when you don't live on the place...We have 73 acres here at home and 68+ down at camp...no work is done there due to the guys not having an interest and I won't do it a lone down there...besides Iusually go to camp to archery bear hunt and then when we need someone there with Dad...here is a whole other story....most of my hunting is here at home...I do the work and keep Mr.B very busy ...repairing equipment....yes I'm the sort that All I have to do is look at something with moving parts and well it breaks...here are a couple of camp pics and a few around our place....Thanks for sharing your place....you and yours should be proud...

Beautiful pictures. With all the work your doing I think a break down now and then can be expected. Actually I was lucky with the lime. There was a co-op 15 miles away and they came and spread the 10 ton for about $350. I don't know what it would cost for that much bag lime, how many trips with my little Dodge Dakota, and how in the world to spread that much. So I kind of lucked out there. The spreader couldn't make it all the way up the hill, so thats the only area we had to spread lime ourselves, about the top 3rd of the hill. I will try to get a couple pictures of what I got going at home, but tomorrow is our 32nd anniversary so I need to make Terri happy. She's the best thing that ever happened to me.

Badger1, I made it up north yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The new planting of clover is doing excellent. Plenty of rain recently after a dry spring and all's well. This is the red/white clover mix planted with Buck Forage Oats last fall, the oats die out during winter and the clover gets a head start the following spring. I hope our hunting season goes as well as the growing season. We should each get a big 10 pointer. Either way it's lots of fun.

Ya'd think hah...heres hoping....Hope you and the Misses had a great anniversary....and this weekend ..Fathers day is great as well

I just can't believe how fast the Succa Seed plot grew...it usually takes 2 seasons to get the clover this big
...neighbor 2 places down said I've watched the deer moving up the hill.....they go up next door and then take a hard right up your place...yep right to the trail plots by the house...He didn't look too happy...shhh...we won't tell him they're a couple of dandy looking bucks

Badger1, Thanks but not really necessary. As long as the deer like the plots, that's all that matters. We had a good time celebrating our anniversary, and hope the same goes for you this fall. I will be in Montana and Wyoming on Fathers Day, on our way to see Lucas. Saw our 2 daughters yesterday and all is good. I wanted to share more pictures with you but haven't had time to do it. I think it's easier to grow food plots than post pictures on here. Oh well, maybe sometime in July. I also wanted you to check out the "Well They're Growing Well" thread you started and maybe you can try that trick I posted to keep the deer off your beans for awhile. Simple, cheap, and easy if it works. It's been nice chatting with you and I hope to talk more in the future. Have yourself a good day and an even better tomorrow.
