If you read my last blog and have an interest in picking up a shed antler or two, I'll be hitting the seminar trail this coming weekend and next. Guess what I'm talking about? Yes, it's all about shed antlers. Not only will I be talking about how to find more sheds, but I'm going to explain how shed antler information can be used for a successful hunt this coming season.

To meet up with me you'll have to be close to Illinois this weekend and Wisconsin the next. Join me at the Illinois Deer and Turkey Classic (www.deerinfo.com) in Peoria, Illinois, March 25-27. The following weekend I'll be speaking at the Wisconsin Deer and Turkey Expo, April 1-3, at Madison.

I walk for hours and hours and hours main trail after main trail field after field no sheds. I have a great eye in the woods. Am I just looking in spots that might not harvest big bucks making the sheds harder to find?

Mark, killer photo, come to Alabama for some serious shed hunting(i.e., hardest shed hunting) available. Not many open fields to look in, just thickets, pines and cutovers. Found 28 sheds, 4 skulls for about 100 hours of looking. Wish I could come out west and shed hunt (also mule deer hunt) but $ is short. Keep up the great articles. David in Alabama.

Yeah I like that pic of you and those sheds I found a nice 8 point & 5 pointer this year in Fenton MI but they also had arrows in them some unlucky hunter lost those deer. Keep us posted MATT IN FENTON MICHIGAN.

I scout all over my hunting property trails and all , but all i found was a spike skull and i know their are nice bucks in the area , so are they just not droping antlers in my area or what ?

same here i no where a few bed and the trails they use i go in look all over and never fing any sheds ??? the few sheds that i have found have been just laying on the ground as im just looking for the past season sign.

My brother in law is training his dog to shed hunt.. He found 4 sets of sheds. 1 dead head and some elk sheds out here in nv I know west

my best bet is look for areas where the bucks are at the time they drop there sheds. i do this and the next spring i go look. this year already i have found twenty six sheds.

i have saw real nice bucks this year on my hunting grounds in PA,clean threw january....... no ive been looking for those sheds and cant find any.....whats up with this? sumtimes shed hunting is more stressfull then 12hrs in a stand.....lol
