After spending long, sweaty, dirty hours cultivating food plots for management of your hunting property, it's rewarding to know they're doing the trick. Place some scouting cams on your food plots to record game activity when you can't be there to witness it yourself.

Here are some scouting cam photo highlights from my Wisconsin food plots, taken during the summer of 2010:

I'm curious as to what you used in the food plot. I just purchased a game cmera and am very excited to use it to see if I can get pictures like you did.

These summertime camera pics were taken in a few fields planted with Imperial Whitetail Clover; it’s easy to grow and the deer love it. To lure deer right in front of scouting cams for perfect pictures, place a mineral site about 15 feet in front of the camera. I like to point my cameras north so they don’t catch the glare during sunrise and sunset. As for mineral choices, you can’t go wrong with either Hunters Specialties Vita-Rack 26 Lick Site Block or the Frigid Forage Buck Puck. Good luck!

wish i had the area (land) and the equipment to make a good food plot. even if it was small... wich is actually what i would perfer.. maybe 200'x200' that was anyhting that walked in was down for the count....

Awesome pics, my husband and I took your advise from the April/May mag and planted the double-cross. Got it in the ground later than I had hoped but it may still pay off. If not, next year's hunt should be great! We'll keep you informed.
