My whirlwind trip back to Pennsylvania for the Eastern Sports Show is over and I couldn't believe the attendance. I was particularly impressed with the number of North American Hunting Club members present. During the course of the show I saw attendees wearing NAHC jackets, shirts and hats. Several even pulled out their membership cards for me to inspect. Of course, I wasn't too surprised after learning that Pennsylvania is the No. 1 state for NAHC membership. Way to go Keystoners!

The great part of the show was interacting with the members and other attendees who gathered for the daily tapings of "You Call The Shots."

Audience members were allowed to shoot some questions our way and most were softballs, but a few zingers did catch me by surprise, especially the one questioning which NFL team I wanted to win the Super Bowl. It took me a minute to realize I wasn't in Packer territory and a Steelers' response would be best.

In addition to networking with members I was also able to renew old friendships with outfitters like the Gardners from Gardner Ranch Outfitters, Ross Adney from Beaver Trap Outfitters, and Dennis Feerrar with Jim McCarthy Adventures.

It's always good to land at home and look out at the Wyoming mountains, but visiting Pennsylvania gives me plenty of hope that our hunting heritage is strong across this great nation.

See you next year!

You say something. No, you say something. Somebody say something because we look like a big buck caught in the headlights.
