If you need planes or horse for the final leg into camp, be prepared to break your luggage into smaller parcels. Oversized bags often don’t fit. So include a couple of ultra-light, nylon duffels for rearranging gear. Bring a soft case for your rifle, too. Bush pilots hate hard cases. When you fly, dress ready to hunt and fill your pockets with survival gear in case of a crash landing. If you can’t save your rifle or pack from the wreckage, you’ll at least be minimally prepared for the weather.
