Q.) What do people most commonly request when ordering a personalized pot call?
A.) Customers usually order a call with both a photo and engraved text. The most common thing for us to engrave is a name, date or caption, but we also engrave company or team logos too. However, we can also print text directly onto the photo itself too.
Q.) How many personalized calls to do you make/sell in a year?
A.) I would say 100 to 250. There are times when it seems like we don’t do any and other times when we are do one after another. Pot calls are not all we personalize. We can engrave text on the wood of any of our calls. The personalized box calls have gotten real popular for us lately.
Q.) What is the most common type of hunting photos sent in?
A.) The most common event depicted in a custom call is a hunter holding a special turkey they harvested. Sometimes the photo is of a first turkey or two hunting partners have both shot birds in the same day.
Q.) What most common special occasion depicted in photos sent in?
A.) I have done calls for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, birthdays and just a special event. I have done calls as gifts from the groom to his groomsmen. I have also created a call featuring a team picture for a gift to a coach who was a big turkey hunter.
Q.) Which is the most unique photo you ever made a call for?
A.) There has been so many, it’s hard to remember them all. But there is one that stands out. I made a call with a photo of an older gentleman that had past away. He was obviously a great influence in the hearts and minds of family and friends that missed him and wanted to remember him. I did a several units of that same call for the many people that wanted one. I think the caption we put on that call was “Now hunting over your shoulder.” What a great tribute to that person and his memory!
