Check out these testimonials from fellow North American Hunting Club Life Members and hunters from across the country in regards to the September 2012 black bear hunt with Foggy Mountain Guide Service. Great hunting and good times were had by all. Foggy Mountain provided a memorable experience for each and every hunter.
“I wanted to extend my gratitude towards The North American Hunting Club staff, yourself, Foggy Mountain Guide Service, and of course the manufacturers that donated products for the Life Members such as myself. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the products from Rocky, Gerber, ThermaCell, Lightfield and Wildlife Research.
I have been a life member of the NAHC for about 20 years and have always appreciated the variety of articles in the magazine along with the product reviews and advertisements included in each addition. NAHC does a great job to include all methods of hunting across a vast portion of terrains and geographical areas.
As an avid hunter with a goal; the club has been extremely useful and captivating. I have a lifetime goal of hunting in all 50 States of this great nation. Maine was my 17th state in which I have hunted. It would be difficult for any outfitter to top my hunt with Foggy Mountain Guide Service. Not only were the services suburb, the Pittston Farm staff was outstanding and understood a hunter’s passion. The North American Hunting Club (NAHC) members in camp were some of the most knowledgeable hunters I have ever met and I valued each and everyone’s stories. This hunt was simply a wonderful time with a group of great people.
Being a former bear hunting guide myself, I respectfully noticed and learned from the hunting guides at Foggy Mountain Guide Service. Their knowledge of the game and environment was among the best and they didn’t miss a step in proving so. The lodging was comfortable and spacious. The food was home-cooked, readily available and absolutely delicious! It took every ounce of will power to stay away from the pie cabinet and that still didn’t work. I ate too much pie.
While not every sought after animal is warranted a free ride in a cooler back to Minnesota, I am fortunate this particular hunt was one that ended in success! I drove the entire 1450 miles back home with a smile on my face and memories that will never be forgotten. Thank You!”
- Matt Matson, Hinckley, Minnesota
I sincerely hope that this letter finds you in the best of health and all going well. It is a great day here in Maine and I hope your having the same in MN. Just a few lines to say that it was good to meet and have you hunting with me here in Maine. You certainly demonstrated a great ability to connect and work with people. All my other guests and staff enjoyed your company. Also, you represented NAHC in a very professional manner. In closing, let me also say that you need a tip from my old hunting hat for making such a great shot on your nice bear. Best of hunting.”
- Wayne Bosowicz, Owner, Foggy Mountain Guide Service
“Thanks again for your support during the Life Member Hunt in Maine. I could only have had more fun if I had harvested a bear, but had an enjoyable time nonetheless. I hated to leave Friday, and dreaded the long drive home, especially since I had to do it in 2 days and then work on Monday. I have signed up for StuffStuff.com. Thanks again.”
- Michael Brown, Boonville, MO
“To all my fellow Hunting Club hunters: The pleasure was mine, meeting each of you and hearing your ‘true hunting tales,’ though I did not bring a trophy home, I did bring a lot of memories of a hunt that I will never forget and new hunting friends that I will always remember. Best to each of you and to the staff, and to Wayne who went out of his way to make our stay a great one, and to the guides who did their best to help everyone get a bear. Also, to Tony for all the hunting stuff he gave to the Life Members of NAHC. Thanks to all the manufactures who donated the items. I signed up on StuffStuff.com! Thanks again.”

“Thanks for the great time hunting with you and all the guys. Thanks for the ThermaCELL, it worked great. As soon as Stella and I got back I joined NAHC as a Life Member. You represent the Club well. I hope we see you on another hunt somewhere. We are going back to Foggy Mountain next year, September 16 through the 20th.”
- Mark Moses
“I would like to say that this was my first bear hunt and me, Ray and John are already planning another hunt with Foggy Mountain for 2014. I have been on other hunts and this outfit is by far the best that I have ever hunted with. Wayne has it together and his guides know their stuff as well. The whole operation from Wayne down to the kitchen staff are class acts and we will definitely be seeing them again. Thanks.”
