As a LEO, I have had this gun safe for a number of years. It is excellent and just the right size to fit on my side of the closet. I keep duty weapons in it with my sam-brown and room room for other various duty gear on the shelves.
However, it is a tight fit to place a hunting rifle in it with a scope. The shelves can be taken out and you can place 5 - 6 scoped rifles in it easily, but then you loose the shelves for pistols. Leave the shelves in and you have room for 2 maybe three rifles with scopes.
I highly recommend it as a safe for immediate weapons to be kept secure in the room, but would recommend a larger gun safe for more than 3 - 6 rifles with scopes.
