Remington MoistureGuard rust-preventing gun plugs protect firearms against rust and corrosion using Inhibitor VCI technology. The plugs load into the firearm chamber and protect all metals during storage—without scent or residue. You can also use the Velcro attachment to hang them in a gun safe. Several centerfire and rimfire calibers, or shotgun gauges, are available. Contact Remington at (800) 243-9700; remington.com. ($4.99-$6.99)

I like these but cannot find them locally anymore. I have never had any moisture issues when using them.

If you properly clean and store your guns, there is no need for this product. For safety reasons, you should think twice about having these in your gun bag and adding the risk of loading anything into your barrel other than a shell. The classic example of putting the 20 gage into your 12 by mistake and then storing your gun to later taking it out of storage and loading a 12 gage shell right behind the corrosion prevention plug. it happens.

I agree with #Grin could be deadly.

I use these in every gun i own when i store them. They are a great product. I never load a shell in a gun without checking the bore first and my gunplugs never leave the gunsafe anyway. You might not think you need these and maybe so but better safe than sorry.
