I have owned 2 of these (red and green versions) for several years and there isn't any cutting edge that they won't make razor sharp. I do use a little Rem-oil on mine while sharpening to make it easier to clean up the micro shavings but have used water also witht he same razor edge result. Great porduct and definately worth the price. J. Scrimager
