will the keep my feet warm in the cold ?????
Friday, November 05, 2010 10:06 PM
I purchased a pair of these for early archery, Sept.-very hot. They're lite under foot, cool in the heat, excellent grip on loose and solid ground. With the reinforced toe, you dont have to worry about destoying it when kneeling for a shot. EXCELLENT BOOT HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

I bought a pair of these Danner Pronghorns in brown this last June so I could wear them enough to break them in for a Sheep hunt I was going on Aug here in Alaska. As always, Danner makes a AWESOME pair of boots. Light weight, water proof, great grip on the rocks and ankle support was great for climbing the steep grades. My feet were cool during the day when it was warm and warm early morning and at night when it was cool. I even wore them for the late Nov Moose hunt (20 degrees) and my feet were warm as long as I didn't stop for to long. So if your looking for a great pair of hunting boots these are them.

Had Pronghorns for 2-1/2 years now. After a hip rplcment they are only ones I wear. Best hunting boots Iv'e had for me they're very comfortable, supportive & feel great on. After bragging about mine my Son & Friends also bought'em & very satisfied. I don't normally do reviews. I'm very much satisfied with this product. KYBOY

BW i HAVE THESE BOOTS AND ONLY READ BAD REVIEWS. I WAS VERY DISAPOINTED WHEN I GOT HOME AND READ ALL THOSE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. I LIVE IN OREGON AND HUNT IN THE COAST RANGE MOUNTAINS IN VALSETZ. RATED LIKE #2 IN INCHES OF RAIN IN A YEAR. MORE LIKE FEET. SINCE BUYING THESE BOOTS I NOW OWN THREE PAIRS. LOVE AND RECOMMEND THEM TO ALL.

Have had Danner Matterhorn boots while on Active Duty in the Army were the most comfortable out of the box boots I have ever had - I would love a chance to try out a pair of their hunters st see how they hold up.

I own a pair of the Pronghorn Snake Boots, Have worn them for 2 years now and I can't say that I have ever worn a better pair of boots. Mine are uninsulated, but with the right pair of socks I can go out in 2 feet of snow in the Washigton Cascades and have no problems, the extra height (the come to almost my knee) of the Snake boots is great in the snow because the snow doesn't get in. The also were very comfortable right out of the box, felt like I had been wearing them for years, no break in time.

I purchased a pair of Danner boots last fall and was very pleased, the winter in upper Michigan get very cold and as all of know, if you feet get cold so does the rest of you !!! The real test will be our Elk hunt in Colorado this fall ?
Thursday, August 25, 2011 9:22 AM
I would like to try these danner boots with the winter fall and winter seanson for hunting approaching in central new jersey. To see how they hold up to these elements.
Friday, August 26, 2011 7:13 AM
I would like to test this product do they keep your feet warm in the cold live in sc
Tuesday, August 30, 2011 10:02 AM
I own a pair of these with 800 grams thinsulate. I love the boots, very durable and warm. My only issue is that I should have purchased the 1000 grams as I sit in ground blinds in the Upper Penn in Michigan and your feet will get cold. Keep in mind that the thinsulate ratings on boots are rated while "moving or walking" Which 800 grams in sub zero temps is perfect. You sit still for 6 hours, your toes start to get cold. Love my boots. I'll give these a 9.5

I bought a pair of these for hunting and they are the best boots i have ever owned. Would highly reccommend
Tuesday, October 25, 2011 11:07 PM
I would like to try the pronghorns I have had the gtx boot but I think a taller boot would be nice on the cold days. All of my other danner boots hold up really well and they never hurt my feet to take them on their first journey. 800 grams is more than enough when walking but if you plan to sit around and you don't spend 75% of your time out side each day they might be a little light. Then again you could be like my self and 800 is almost to much unless it is past that 32 mark.

This looks like a really comfortable boot and would make a good replacement pair for my current boots.
