I bought the Real Avid Gun Tool at my local gun shop a couple of months ago. The design and ergonomics are superior to many of the combination tools on the market today. I later ordered the belt sheath and extra bit set for it from realavid.com for only $10.00. I now keep the Real Avid Gun Tool in my range bag so I'll have it if needed. I also plan to drop it in my gear bag next deer season. Its small size means it takes up very little space. Plus it is so light, it adds very little to the overall weight of my range bag.

I used the hex-head attachment on my scope mounts and the ridges on the head were softer than the screws and begain to strip. Yes, they were the right size and fit. Otherwise, it is a useful tool for the range bag. However, I think it is rather big and heavy to carry afield if you are going up and down hills, etc.

I've used mine both in the basement while cleaning, disassembling and re-assembling rifles and at the range for sight adjustment as well as opening a can of sight-black. All around very versatile and compact, only wish the driver bits were a little longer.

I love the idea of this product. It is the Swiss Army Knife of gunsmiths. If the product was of a higher quality, I would certainly recommend it. The idea, application, use, and look of this product is phenomenal. The only issue is the product's durability and quality of craftsmanship. The belt loop on the sheath broke during the first use. Also, the anchor for the bits broke because is has a plastic housing. The bits are also hard to reach when you have the item on a belt because of the location on the back side of the sheath. This is not the optimal placement. If the manufacturer were to bump up the quality of materials and the overall durability of this item, it would be irreplaceable.

I really like this tool, it has everything you need to work on any of your rifles or shotguns. It has a fantastic grip and easy assessable tools that slide and attach or swivel out for use. If the quality was better it would be a better buy. Other than that is the ultimate tool to have for gun owners.
