I drew my hunting tag for Elk hunting in Wyoming this coming October !!

I haven't been out that way since 2009 and I'm really stoked about headin' out there again and hunting with H2O (Dean) and a few others that I've had the pleasure of gettin' together with the last time.

Dean buddy,.. I can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

October can't get here fast enough,.. Gonna' kill me some Wapiti !

Thanks for the good luck wishes Jack,.. I'm hoping for a big boy BUT,..... I've learned that if you wait too long looking for "MR BIG" that you usually come home with tag soup.

Not going to happen this time out,.. if a 5x5 makes a presentable shot to me he's coming home with me,... lol!

Some meat in the freezer is better than it being empty,.. no matter what happens though I'm guaranteed good company and an enjoyable hunting experience. Pictures will be forthcoming in any event,..

Thanks guys!

To answer the question of caliber,... well the 7 mag runs with me just about anywhere I go to hunt,.. natch,.. she's my BABY!

BUT,.............. I'm also bringing the .338 WM along. Whenever I go out of state for a hunt a good back-up is always a WISE idea. If an issue devolops with the main weapon I have something to fall back onand not have to spoil the hunt. They both are EXCELLENT shooters, The 7 mag is called "Lightning" and the .338 is Thunder,.. makes for honest renditions of each.
