global warming is bs. but even if it does warm up 1o degrees in the next century the world will not end , the sky is not falling.politicians just try to keep the masses in a state of panic. they are much easier to controll that way.and even if it warms up enough to make mankind extinct ,who gives a chit?we will all be dead by then anyhow and those left behind will just have to do what species on earth have been doing for millenia, adapt or don't |

Again, the fact that they are trying to sell "the debate is settled", "the case is closed", etc. regarding man-made global warming is enough of a red flag to me. As long as there are a great number of scientists who are still questioning this, the debate is not settled. And factor in what is being done to "combat" it (selling carbon credits, etc.), it just adds so much to my skepticism.
Also, I've heard that the 'climate models' that supposedly predict the future doom and gloom cannot accurately predict the past.

CNN, recently caught airing false reports for hire - ie foreign governments and ours as well paid cnn to run FAKE stories.
And now for the CO2 "greenhouse" effect numbers ... this requires math and facts so it might be tough for libs to understand...
All "greenhouse" gases = 2% of atmosphere
3.62% of "greenhouse" gases = CO2
3.4% of CO2 = human caused
.02x.0362x.034 = 0.000024616
0.000024616 x 100 = 0.0024616 % of the atmosphere = man made CO2

It is all liberal fraud ,and they keep putting it out there to support their way of just getting more money out of the peoples pockets .You know like carbon taxes .When are they going to put monitors on your rump to see how much methane comes out when you fart and then tax you on it .And then what are they going to do with all the methane that comes out of sewage plants .Some use it to cook the chit in the digestor's at the plants .Oh yes that brings up another .Was it not the same kind that said we should reduce the number of cows because of the same problem .Yea fart gas . |

Yet these same people tell us in order to be green, we need to mulch our grabage and lawn and grass clippings which creates even more of the gasses that they say we need to eliminate. |

Durn Yukon, I woulda thot that you, more then any of the rest of us,would be glad that we have been haveing a warming trend for the last Million years or so. After all, weren't to many years ago, that your part of this planet was covered with a layer of ice 2 mi. thick!
Scientist have now decided that our original man, the Clovas man, didn't come across the Bering, but followed the ice, from the area of now France, to our east coast, to settle in the mid east coast. At that time, they figured the ice was close to a mile deep over the NE U.S.
Yaaa, I would think that folks would be glad that we have been getting warmer in the last million years or so.

As per normal, the crew of intellects on here CLEARLY knows better than the 98% of climate researchers. After all- why wouldn't y'all have a much better grip on this than people who actually have some knowledge of the subject at hand?
BTW, sw- it seemed rather odd that 30, 000 scientists, led by ohn Coleman (who, btw, is a weatherman- not a scientist) were suing Al Gore, and I hadn't been reading about it steady. Maybe this is why...
"This is a myth that has been going round for a couple of years now. It originated from a video made by John Coleman in which Coleman said he was going to take Al Gore to court over his malicious global warming claims. In the same video Coleman made reference to 30,000 scientists who had signed a petition against global warming. There was never any mention of the scientists suing Gore.
Coleman has yet to initiate his action against Gore and the ’30,000 scientists’ claim is another myth. This relates to a document known as the Oregon Petition. It originated in 1998 from Professor Frederick Seitz and circulated under the guise of having come from the National Academy of Sciences (NAS).
Seitz sent out a mailing card together with a covering letter and invited people who had a degree qualification to sign and return the card. The petition was for the US Government not to sign up to the Kyoto Protocol, there was no mention of either global warming or of climate change.
Thinking the petition had come from the NAS a number of cards were signed and returned. Upon collecting the signatures the wording of the petition was changed.
Because signatures were collected by means of a mailshot there was no verification process in place and as a consequence the signatories included Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, John Lennon, Elvis Presley and various incarnations of the Spice Girls.
A few years ago some 13,000 names were removed from the petition. Of the remaining 18,000 names there are many from people who have no scientific credentials. Recently it appears that many of these names were mysteriously reinstated. I have consulted the petition on several occasions and to date have found only one person who is a climate scientist and that is Russell Qualls, it appears his name is a fraudulent addition as he believes in manmade global warming.
Whilst the Oregon Petition is blatantly fraudulent there is a less fraudulent petition that scientists can sign ‘against’ global warming. This is known as the Leipzig Declaration, it has been available since 1995 and attracts about one signature a month from the 60 million who are eligible to sign it.
However, an investigation by a Danish journalist found that many of the names on the declaration were invalid and the true number of genuine signatories appears to be in the order of 30 to 50 people."
It continues to bewilder me that some of you seemingly intelligent people are incapable of doing any actual research into the veracity of statements that are being fed to you on critical issues. One word...... sheeple. |

YH, that's 98% of climate researchers who are paid to be proponents of global warming. There is also about 98% of paid scientists who are on the other side of the debate. The question then becomes just which side of the debate's group of scientist actually have it right?????? I tend to go along with the 98% who aren't affiliated with any of the liberal organizations or causes. |

How does one argue with people who would rather stick their heads in the sand? "Well, sure, you can present facts, but if they don't suit my argument, then it must be because of the liberal media...". Go do research- and I'm not talking about CNN or Faux "News"- I'm talking about peer-reviewable, unaffiliated sites. Stop being so close-minded, and open yourself up to the possibility that maybe... just MAYBE the whole global warming thing isn't some covert plan to subjugate the U.S. Maybe it's actually happening. |

There is no daught humans are have some impact on the global enviorment, to what extent is the debate. How much is the natural cycle of the earth and how much is human. Peoiods of Sun spots, solar flares, volcanos, the two El twins. There are those who believe the poles will reverse, there is evidence it has happened before but how oftin. Yellow could erupt, it has happen before, asteroid could hit, that has happen before, Another ice age. We all run around saying the sky is falling. yh believes gun control will stop it, we believe gun control will start it. The earth has been turning for million of years, before humans it has under gone many changes and will continue with or without us. We know one thing, once somthing happens and those who are left they are going to have to defend themselves, if any people are left, good and evil will remain in some from or another. |
