It would be funny if it weren’t so sad, but Rep. Maxine Waters, a ranking member of the California Congressional Brain Trust, said that the sequester cuts would cost Americans 170 million jobs.

Considering there are only 134 million people working in the United States, that would be an impressive feat.

Waters, by the way, is the ranking Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee, which deals with banking, insurance, real estate and securities. If the Democrats were to regain the House, she would be in a position to be chairwoman.

Democrats in general seem to have difficulties comprehending numbers. Remember the promises made about Obamacare, that it would reduce costs by increasing competition. It’s even named the “Affordable” Care Act.

Yet all it’s done so far is raised taxes, increased insurance rates and cost people work hours and jobs. The payroll tax hike in January stunned many Democrats who just couldn’t believe they would have to pay for Obamacare.

Household incomes plunged in January by 3.6 percent, the most massive decrease in 20 years. Disposable income, what’s left after taxes, declined by 4 percent, the most since 1959. But according to the White House, we’re in a recovery.

Perhaps we should blame HeadStart. After more than 47 years of “preparing” children for school, a recent study showed that HeadStart students are often behind their classmates in math and have a lower rate of promotion.

Apparently, though, some of them have been promoted all the way to Congress

She is a perfect example of why liberals want ignorant voters. She's the worst kind of idiot - one in a position of authority.

As anything the liberal are invovled in, they can sit around and think of all kinds of BS for someone else to do. They can not care for/or defend themselves, they don't like guns in the hands of those who can, unless they are under their control. They don't work that hard for the money they make and feel others owe them them more than they are actualy worth or do. They are controled by emotion and not reason. They are much better at talking than actually doing anything. They fear and are jealous of those who have and use common sence, strenght, courage and ablity, they lack.

Waters is a socialist idiot!!! The fact that she could stand there straight faced and say that Bernanke told her that is scarey

This one would be hilarious if it wasn't so scarey... It's a little old, but the point is what counts. Ya gotta love the reaction of the other members of the committee in the background.

Tie her and Nancy pelosi both to a tree----pour honey all ove them---leave them out in the deep woods overnight with a pistol with only 2 rounds in the cylinder---go back next morning see what you got left-------make sure to use a game cam for entertainment purposes.....  Only good thing I can think of constructive to do with both !!!  What a waste of skin

"but Waters staff did retract and say she meant 170,000 jobs"

Was it broadcast like her initial comment was? Tho those who are paying attention will/did call her out for her initial statement, I fear that a large majority that aren't paying that close attention will never know about the retraction

Even worse, since they're not paying close attention, they'll by what she said hook, line, and sinker
