Hey All,

I was cleaning out my my old mans closet the other day and ran across some really old guns. Is anyone on here a guru on old guns or know of  a place I can take them to someone who does know a lot about old guns. I can only find limited information on them on the internet.

A Little About the Guns

1. Springfield Model 15 .22 Single Shot Bolt Action. From what I can tell made in around 1920
2. Remington? (will confirm) 5 shot semi automatic .30 cal. First semi auto hunting rifle introduced to the public around 1920-1930
3. New Aubrey Shot Gun -  Its a single shot 12 Ga with a 34" barrel. Actually made with a Damascus Barrel. Serial number is 15,671. First started production in 1895 and stopped in 1905.

I am looking for any information on them or pointed in the right direction. Not sure if they are worth anything more than hanging on the wall but not going to sell them. Just want some more information on these items.

I also found a Sears and Roebuck 12 gauge bolt action. This was recalled in the 70's from the bolt breaking and poking peoples eyes out. That one is going on the wall.

I wish I could help you on this one, but I'm not familiar with them either.

I don't know where you live, but I'm sure some of the dealers at the monthly WAC shows in Puyallup or Monroe might be able to help you.  If not, they might be able to steer you to someone locally who does.

The most knowledge of such guns I've ever seen under one roof is at the Beinfeld Antique Arms Show in Las Vegas.  The timing's not good for you now, as it's held in mid-January each year.  Its by far the best gun show I've ever been to, and have attended for the past five years straight.  I'll hopefully make each one in the future 'til my dying breath.
There are dealers from around the country there, and I'm sure some of them would either know about them or know who would.

Now you just need to convince your wife how important it is that you find out about these guns, and that you need to go to Vegas in January for research purposes...

Thats why I didnt get married LOL.

I will try to find a local gun smith or someone who may be able to look into it. Just though I would ask around first see if anyone knew where I could go.
