Good for you and all the others who were there. With demonstrations like this, half the counties in the state formaly opposing it and even the NYS Sheriff's Assoc. against it, why does Cuomo still insist that the only people against this law are the ones that don't understand it? Is it possible that he is that dense? I have to believe that even the ones who voted for it are having second thoughts.
I think we should start calling it "The Umpire State". Lots of bad calls made by people without much vision.

Good goin' on showing support for your rights.  I'd heard about your rally on the drive home last night, and looked up a few articles on-line about it.
I'm really impressed at how many of you turned out.  That's exactly what we all need to be doing from coast to coast.

Here in WA state, they've tried to put together a few rallies but we haven't had great turnout.  Then again, we haven't lost our gun rights yet like you guys have either.  Despite a number of bills being proposed, nothing has passed to date.  A lot of us have been pretty aggressive in writing our legislators, and I'd like to think that's having a positive impact.
Unfortunately we're pretty liberal here also, but our representatives don't seem to be nearly as radical as Cuomo and Co.

As far as our rallies, they just haven't been organized well.  The first one in Jan. was on the same day and 20 miles away from the largest monthly gun show in the state.  People were more concerned about buying guns and ammo that day than anything else.  In fact, they did so in record numbers.
The second rally was on a weekday, and they did a terrible job of getting the word out.  I don't know of anyone who'd heard of it ahead of time, and I found out about it on the day they held it with no time to get there.

States like MA & IL have been screwed for a long time, but you guys and CO have been hit the hardest by new legislation so far.
If you guys can keep up the pressure, you'll hopefully inspire the rest of the country to become more active and we can collectively push back against this madness.

Once again, good job guys.

Everyone across the country needs to be on high alert...for this is Cuomo's first strike in a future bid for the presidency....That has got to be nipped in the bud and soon

Way to go guys!!!!

Badger is absolutely right.  Just look at what he is doing here in NY.  He wants to move it on up to the next level.  He wants to give college financial aid to the illegals, WTF?!?!?!?!?!

What we need is the local papers and news channels to quit being so biased against gun people and broadcast what is going on. I live in the Southern Tier of NY and the news channels hardly mention it. There was well over 10000 people there and our liberal news cast acted like it never happened.

Thanks for posting and more importantly going to the rally, Hunter101! State Police "estimated" the attendance at under 5,000!!! I was at the sportsman show in Suffern working. We had guys stop by & say it was well over 10,000!! Way to go!!

Guys & Gals, ya gotta keep writing & calling the Governor's office against "Cuomo's Law!!!" Also the feds against their natioanl policy they want.
