Where I'm concerned if you can afford Zeiss you shouldn't be disappointed. I bought a pair of their binos 20 years ago and can say I've not seen any that came close to their quality.

No, it isn't a Leupold, just a hell of a lot better! Wish I could afford one and I do own an overpriced Leupold. Also have Zeiss binos. |

Thanks for the replies, I have only looked through one and was impressed with the scope, but that one was 800 bucks ouch, The ones on sale are $299 so I should pick one up I think, the ole mod 70 deserves more than the tasco thats on there now! |

Well, went in and checked the scope out, was slightly unimpressed with it, found out the scope is mainly assembled by meopta which carries a slightly lower pricetag. Overall a good scope, but for the same money I can get the burris 4.5x14x50 which I have one on a 7mm. I should have known it was too good to be true, followed toms question and glad I did. |

Update, checked that scope out again at the doorbuster sale, this time alongside the redfield 2-12x40 and the burris 3x9x40. It was clear(pun intended) when I focused on a ram on the back wall, that the ziess scope seemed to bring the object much closer and with very good resolution as well. It does look great on my rifle! |

I'll give you a report, Swarovskis the winner! At last check the most inexpensive swaro scope I can find is around 800clams. If you can afford those qualitiy optics, then you know that you do get what you pay (dearly) for. Let me know when you find a comparably priced swaro, and I'll check it out, I would like to see one on one of my rifles. |
