I have an IMC2 22 made in 1984.  It is a bolt action and has feed problem.  I compared it to my Ruger Mark III.  In the comparison it is obvious that the feed ramp is the issue.  It is not smooth it actually has craters so polishing it will not solve the issue.  The ramp is part of the trigger assembly.  The trigger assembly also holds the magazine.  Is there a replacement trigger assembly available?

Thanks for the tips.

Grandpops,

From my research the gun is of Eastern European origin, maybe Romania.

I did more research.

IMC2 = M69 = Model 1969 a Romanian Training Riffle.

Numrich has the following listed:

ROMANIAN19691090680Magazine Well Body Assembly (Incl Catch, Catch Pin & Catch Spring)$34.35

I had a friend who had a similar problem with a pitted feed ramp on an old .22. He ended up thoroughly de-greasing the part, applying a thin layer of JB Weld and polishing it down to the original dimensions. It worked well for thousands of rounds before I lost track of him.

Finepoint,

I think I will try this solution.  I already got the sandpaper for the polishing.  I'll let you know how it works.

That sounds like it would work well. Atleast for a while.
