Hell If woman were made to fight ...and be in charge...we would more than likely never lose another war....think about it...Being an ex bartender and having been on several sports teams in my time...given the opportunity....Woman are vicious fighters

All you have to do is tell them once, (And trust me, only onnce!) that their pants make their a** look fat, or they look like they gianed weight, and it's GAME ON!........ FOR LIFE! I fear the hell out of scorned woman. They are relentless and will stop at nothing to (As I have heard from so many woman at so many times) "Scratch your eyes out". (Not toward me, thank god!) They don't even need weapons! If I go to the bush with a woman, I know I will get shot first as I know that the opposer is just afraid of her as I. If not, he's about to learn the hard way! I just hope that she can drag my keester out before she anialates the shooter with her cat-from-hell attack ways. Bring them on! Call them our secret, unpredictable or controllable weapons in the face of combat. Like human grenades. Once you drop the spoon, all hells gonna break loose. Or stepping on a landmine. Once you hear the click, there's no way out. But you gotta luv em in peace time! Just be careful!

I have believed for years that having woman register for the selective service us WAY OVER DO. 

Equality is equality, and they can do the jobs men can do (visa versa). 

There is no good argument for this not to be done other than sexism!

I do not believe the draft should be re-implemented unless absolutely necessary for US security,

not to engage in wars in Somalia or Afghanistan, but direct threats to the US.

There's one thing the enemy wouldn't count on and even most woman don't realize...that when it comes to the fight /flight response...take away the flight and the amount of adrenaline that floods a woman's body and mind is a very...very scary thing...as far as to direct threats to the US...hell our innate need to protect whats ours..please...even a girly girl given training would be hell on wheels...put us in a group of woman and our competitive nature is enough to destroy an enemy ....LOL

My favorite hunting shows are ones that highlight female hunters. They tend to be much more attentive and tenacious than most men.  Plus they show how upset they really are when they don't get to kill anything.  It's much more refreshing to see honesty, instead of that bogus crap of "at least I was able to experience the outdoors, even if I didn't get to kill something".  I hate that sh*t!  When people go hunting, of course they want to kill something, and the women usually show their true feelings!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't under estimate a good woman .No mater what your thoughts are .I know in my time in the militery there were some woman I would rather have at my side than some of the wimps that I have seen .

HELL NO!!!! We got rid of the draft because of the inequities in the system to start with. Go to college for basket weaving DEFFERNENT get married to the ugly girl down the street DEFERRMENT etc etc. Rich white kids could get out of serving because they could afford deferrments. Poor white and blacks pack your bags Jack. Being black or a highschool dropout was a sure ticket to Vietnam. I couldn't afford college or was I interested so I knew come June after school because of where my numbers were I'd get drafted. So instead of getting drafted into the Army and going to Nam I quit school and joined the Navy. Figured I'd be floating around in a boat. Little did I realize that boat would be a PBR on the Mekong river.

All between the ages of ? MUST serve 2yrs. ends the deferments. In Nam in the women on the other side were fierce.

gut, my family wasn't rich, and my freshman class in college DID NOT receive deferments for attending school. I was lucky in that Nixon cut off at Number 230, and My number was 235. I had several fraternity brothers and dorm mates who had to run to the enlistment offices in order to avoid getting drafted. Back In 1971, the odds were that if you were drafted you got sent to Parris Island and served in the Marine Corps, which meant an instant ticket to Viet Nam back then!

I served many years in the Army and I seen firsthand that women and men are NOT equal in their abilities period. I had man of the females try to get out of duties because they would up front tell me " I can't do that I'm not as strong as a man ! " or " Women don't/can't do that ! " to which I always replied " You are making the same pay as the men so get out there and do your job !" they would either get mad and storm off or their favorite start crying and run off and file a formal complaint that i was being unfair. Women in combat is BS and to do so will be the cause of more men's deaths trying to take care of the women. Whether you agree or not these are the facts.

I agree. most women cry" equal rights"but they don't really want them. they want the best of both worlds,hell who doesn't.I don't think women should be put in battle for no other reason then most men don't want to see thier women put in harms way and frankly we don't need them to be there.that said I'M sure there are some men who would love to see thier wives on the front lines,much easier  and cheaper than divorce. THERE  would also be a lot less homosexualls in the military if men were sharing thier foxholes with women.soldiers gotta do something in between shelling to keep from getting bored.

It works for Israel and Switzerland.I believe that if a woman requests combat duty she should get it. Sure there's the whiners etc but some women want to do combat tours and should be allowed to just as long as they can carry the load. I know some gals could kick butt in the barracks.

Not a Woman hater, Just a comment----How many men will be put in a bad position rescueing a woman from capture rape and Torture ??????????    I believe its tough enough out there without this unnecessary problem----You know the guys will come running to help

How many men have been put in the line of fire(bad position let's call it what it is fool IN THE LINE OF FIRE) to rescue a male brother from death or capture and died doing it. Most of the Congressional Medals of Honor were given to Navy Corpsman attached to the Marines on IWO JIMA?? Most posthumously!!! When a brother or sister is down and in danger I'm going to get him/her sex isn't a factor neither is color. I believe there are women who are capable of doing the job as well as any man. If you're laying on the ground in the open with a couple of slugs in you are you going to give a dam the sex of the person pulling your ashes out of the fire? I think not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am just glad that I will not be the one having to make the decisions regarding this subject.

Reasons for women in combat. Scientifically speaking of course. Fact Women have more endurance than men. Women are better problem solvers than men. Women handle pain better than men. Women are less easily distracted than men. Women have a better eye for detail than men. During a firefight fear isnt a problem as there's no time to be afraid its after its over you shake like a leaf don't know why the same wouldn't apply to women. And what do men do after combat? Many very many sit and cry over buddies wounded or lost or just cry out of the fear racing through them. To this day I cry over things and people from back in Nam. Maybe Dawg does maybe not but that's for him to share if he desires. Too many of you guys are just Chauvanists and you know it. But you'll brag how your wife got a deer etc and I'll bet some have done their own gutting etc. I know I'd hate to be the idiot that broke into my home while I was away my wife would empty my 12ga into him so fast it'd make your head spin or his fly off. Women deserve the same oppurtunities as men.

Like I've said before I've seen some women I would rather have my back than some men .And that was when I WAS IN THE MILITARY .If they are fiscally able let them .

I had the pleasure and honor of serveing with some dam good woman. Also had the misfortune of serveing with some sorry men. I do not believe the standards should lowered just to allow woman to serve, much less in combat. Woman have differant standards, lower standards now in basic that should not be period. Not all but many as has been said want the best of both. Enjoy lower standards and exspectations while claiming to be equal, and when pressed run claiming discrimnation. We all know how tenacious a woman can be, and that is not always a good thing. That tenacity many times flies in the face of logic and reason being more selfish and self serveing than anything else. Driven by revenge, and hate with no regard for or understanding of the total out come of their actions, and than attempt to shift, devert, place the responceibility of those actions on somone else.
Yep man do that as well, but it is many times in the presuit of that triangle LD mentioned in another post. Men are like dogs, they can be trained, women are likes cats there may be a few that can be trained, but most well think about it. How many guard cats have you seen? Don't know how many of you have dogs and cats, but look at the differance. Get onto a dog for doing somthing wrong, what happens, there are those who will be vendictive, but for the most part. Get onto a cat, they get vendictive more oftin than not. The differances are numerous, which makes equality almost impossible just by the nature of the each beast.
