The fugitive that had stabbed a police officer while being transported to Las Vegas from Miami Fl. was shot and killed in Grapevine Tx.  this afternoon. After a week on the run.  A family got home and found food and jewwlry missing.  They called the police who found him in a wooded area behind the home.  When he lunged at the police.  They opened fire on him killing him.  He was a very dangerous man.  He got away when he broke a pair of glasses and stabbed  one officer in the neck.  Everybody thought he was long gone after a week.  he was found in the same general area that he had eascaped in.

Really?  Boy, It hit the national media fast then.  I live in Terrell.  Which is about 50 miles from Grapevine.  So, we of course get the news from Dallas and Ft Worth.  We first heard about it about 2 hours ago.  They killed him this afternoon.  I figured that we had heard about it before anyone else in the country would.  Guess I was wrong.

Good to hear the taxpayers won again!
"The BIG Lie" The phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile:[5][6] His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.[7]

lunkerdog:  I think I misunderstood your post.
Yep the taxpayers won this one.  Don't have to worry about completing the trip to Las Vegas.  Or what it cost the tax payers to do it.  Don't have to pay for guarding, feeding, trying in court, or sleeping accomidations for this dirt bag. He got his due reward.

Bigrig, I'm thinking you misunderstood me too. When I first read your post I didn't have a clue what you were talking about. In fact I've still not seen any news about it, but I've been busy today, and haven't seen any national news yet.
