I hope all of the firearms manufacturers would refuse to sell to NY cops, and any other state that has legislation pending to ban any guns! See how the cops like it when they can't get their hands on guns and ammo! |

Doubt it'll help try and get Cuomo's law repealed, but any help is better than none. Repeal is an uphill battle, but has to be fought. Don't sit back & let it happen in your state...don't think iyt can't.. RT, you make it sound like the police are the ones who enacted the law. Cuomo, not the police, shoved this law down our throats in less than 3 days. I know you have issues with your cops, but we're all not like that. My state reps are the ones to blame....and a lot of us voters... |

Jeff, my point is that then the cops would raise enough hell to force changes in those states. I'm well aware that it's the politicians who are passing these idiotic laws, but they are also getting the support of many top echelon law enforcement officials, in order to do so. Be refusing to sell to the state's National Guard, as well as the cops, hopefully the message will bear some weight. |

Being that we are all (supposedly) a united nation, we ALL should be under the same rules. (Those rules being the rules of our constitution.) Throughout the centuries, it's been stated many, many times by many, many high ranking officials that "NOBODY IS ABOVE THE LAW". Now that can be taken 2 ways. 1; meaning that the law (Enforcement agencies/officers) is the almighty higher that us common low-lifes cannot meet or surpass; and 2; As Thomas Jefferson stated IN THE OPENING STATEMENT OF THE US CONSTITUTION, "All men are created equal." These companies are doing both by not selling to law enforcement agencies, and I tip my hat to them for doing so. They are not allowing the L/E agencies to put themselves above anyone common citizen by enforcing the US constitutions statement and keeping every man equal. That's just my take on it. |

Sorry, RT....Its been such a rush with this stupid law, that some of my former collegues (I'm retired) didn't even know that the police were exempt from the magazine capacity restriction. Also, Cuomo had this law passed in about 26 hours! Called it a bill of "necessity," meaning an emergency/exigent circumstnace required the bill be passed immediately! When asked on a radio interview what the emergency/exigent circumstance was, Cuomo replied, "What? And have a rush on gun stores??? Defeats the purpose of the law!" Normally a law would have a "public comment" period for or against the proposed law giving you a chance to contact your reps/let them read the law...Kinda like Obamacare....pass the law...THEN read it!!! Idiots!! That's part of the basis for the lawsuit trying to repeal Cuomo's law....that its unconstitutional the way it was passed..no emergency/exigent circumstance... RT, saw on the news this morning that your state of South Carolina is one of 5-6 states offering Remington a new home because of this law! They're seriously considering it for obvious reason. Man, I hope this gets repealed...what a joke... |

Winchester relocated here after New Hampshire's laws were changed during Clinton's time in office, FN is here, and Remington already has some production facilities that have been operational for several years. SC is trying to get Remington to relocate their entire operation down here. We also have a home grown AR manufacturer with Palmetto Armory, and a homegrown rifle builder with Jarret Rifles. BTW, BMW, and Goodyear/Michelin also have huge operations that were joined by Boeing. The Palmetto State has come up in the world since the end of our agrarian past. |

Ron... Could you give me a link where Winchester had a plant in New Hampshire. I've lived here my whole life and never knew they did! They did have a plant in New Haven CT and NH ain't no leaching tax sucking CT! Most of these companies are leaving high taxed states to survive this economic recovery Obama has unleashed on them, finding greener pastures where unions don't decide their fate ( see hostess for most recent union successes). |

The phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile:[5][6]
His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.[7]

Sometimes Capitalism is an ugly business, at this point I think it's a bit idealistic to believe that all of the American gun/ shooting sports industry will get behind this movement. Even if we as consumers were to be able to pressure the vast majority of American company's too get behind it, some foreign company that doesn't give a damn about Americans gun rights would step in too fill the void, and no doubt at a greater profit for them. Sorry for the doomsday point of view, but I feel I need to call it as I see it I'm not suggesting that we give up, but feel we need to look at this battle from as many views as possible. This is going to be a hard fight, in large part due to the ignorance of so many on the other side. |

This isn't about the police... there are thousands of great country loving police officers out there that deserve our support!
It's the corrupt politicians that are trying to destroy this country and dismantle our Constitution... when the time is upon us , there will be many police that will support our efforts to win the country back.
