Allen, you just examined the question that has burned in the hearts and minds of many Southerners, since Lincoln illegally invaded the sovereign state of SC in 1861.

We will very likely lose Remington Arms in New York as a result of Emporer Cuomo's new gun laws. 1200 jobs and a big chunk of the tax base. Not to mention all of the jobs that will be lost in the sporting industries. If he keeps helping our economy that way, the hhole state will be broke before he can be voted out of office.
I think we should start calling it "The Umpire State". Lots of bad calls made by people without much vision.

The SC Development Commission has already been engaged in serious talks with Remington Arms Company and several other companies in these affected states. The commission has representatives from Winchester and FN who are involved in the talks, plus Governor Nikki Haley is very involved in trying to attract firearms and firearms related industries to relocate to our right to work state, by offering tax incentives and state sponsored financial support.

More and more media outlets are beginning to take notice of the economic implications of the gun control debate. One direct result of the increase in sales of guns and ammunition is the increase in excise taxes collected to fund wildlife conservation. This article from the Outdoor Channel predicts a 15 percent increase in federal conservation grants to states.
