Benifits of high capacity:

1. Elimintates carrying "extra loose rounds" in pockets.

2. No extra bulky boxes to carry.

3. If a firearm is designed to hold (15 rounds for example) flush fit, anything less is reducing its design purpose.

4. Maybe carrying one high capacity is better than 2 low capacity. Less stuff to carry.

5. Save time & expense at hourly rate ranges, if loaded prior to range use.

The only cons I can think of are heavier weight can be fatigueing if carrying all day.  And while great at the range, banana clips are hard to use in prone position and like to hang on brush.

Would like to hear from others on the advantages of high capacity.

6. They better enable the citizens of this nation to defend ourselves against a potentially aggressive government. I'm thinking that pretty much sums up the intent our founding fathers had in mind when they created the second amendment.

When 1 or 3 intruders enter your house you wouldnt have to insert more than 3 magazines into your weapon, as opposed to 4, after all, they were trying to take either your property or your lives.Well lets face it...If you did not get the asses in the first volley..well.. you need to go to the range alittle more. In texas...dead people cant lie and sue you as well.Make no mistake..you break into my house...your not going to make it out..."That door that you just kicked in, was for his protection...not mine.Would you like a 6 shoot revolver or as many bullets as you could possibly shoot?Me , myself, I would hate to reload a 6 shooter, while being shot at by alot of bullets....jmho..go with that..lol

Great point M7, and since you didn't enter it as a #, I will appropriately enter it as "#M7".

M7. Too be able to contend, and/or keep up with any criminals who may assault/attack ourselves, or our families. Because we all know how well the criminals will obey the magazine restriction laws!!! Great Idea government!!! Lets restrict the rights of law abiding citizens too defend themselves against the criminals that don't obey the law!!! So in reality our government would be making law abiding citizens potential victims to those who don't care about the law. Brilliant!!!

lUNKERDOG im in complete agreement with you. All I was saying.. is I dont have to compete with the criminals.I have them out gunned..but as as you have stated, and I agree..the government, wants to take that away from us.Bullsheit!...If its fair than all of us would abide by the same rules...iTs not going to happen. Therefore until then...Ill make sure its unfair...lmfao

I don't care about any ones reason to own one...

Why shouldn't a law abiding citizen have the right to own them or does owning one make one want to commit a despicable act of violence ??

"The BIG Lie" The phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler's psychological profile:[5][6] His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.[7]

You have to think in the "ahhh mom" generation terms, when your layin' around the basement of your parents house,on some type of government program, so long that your tv try has become a shadow board, in your jammies with a laptop in your lap, so you can check the gauntlet of social media sites and mayne glance at craiglist now and then for a job to report to the unemployment office, and a game controller suckin' suds you just bought with food stamps, and next to the outlined remote and twinkies on the tray is your medical marijuana card and your new prescription, pipe and papers, there is not alot of room left for multiple magazines, well except the ouline where the latest issue of "gamer" will go once you get it in the mail. So one high capacity magazine would be convenient, you could stand it up on edge to take up less space and could probably squeeze another snack onto the tray or maybe a 16 oz. soda or something.

Damn reread my post got pissed threw down my crayon and headed to work, got to pay for someone else's prescription and beer.

Hunting pigs, coyotes, and other vermin that run in groups. Texas is using them for helicopter hunting pigs. $600 m. in farm damages there. If the system fails how would you protect your family from crowds that want to raid your family. Case by case I could list but you get the drift. And by the way if we can't have them , why do police and the DHS have them?

The SAFENY act makes the venerable M1 Garand illegal it has a TRUE clip holding eight rounds. Reson NO#1 for high capacity mags the scumbags that just kicked your door have em. Having a 12ga with and extented tube mag loaded with 00 buck is a hell of a deterrant.

Because if I take the time to drop the mag and insert another one, it takes about 3 seconds away from my ability to return fire! BTW, if anyone is stuffing banana's in their guns, I have to tell you that it's definitely going to fugg up the works! I have no idea what a banana clip is, but I do know what a high capacity magazine is!!!!!!!
