As you know, I am a huge fan of the Swede. My military converts all prefer 140-160 gr bullets, but my slightly slower twist, shorter throated commercial Swede ( a CZ550) makes tiny groups with both 120 BT's and 129 Hornady's while still doing sub-MOA with 140 gr Sierras. I have had years of excellent results with Sierra hunting bullets, whether SP or HP designs. Their 30 cal. 165 HP Gameking is, to my mind, the perfect 308Win bullet, leaving wound channels in deer identical to a 165 Nosler partition from a 30-06 at equal ranges. |
