good read . I cannot ,for the life of me, understand why this concept is so hard for people to understand.

Note the topic above about 4 being killed in New Orleans and yet when a firearm is used to STOP a robbery or mass killing it is buried in the back pages of the newspaper and not a word on the tv news.

YH it's because of the shameful condition our society has come too, saving lives is not seen as "news worthy" but the mass killing of many un-armed people is

Yes, this particular incident is about 13 years old, but the fact remains that when guns are used for self defense or as is the case often; a deterrent in cases such as the recent mall shooting out in the North West, the msm does not bother to report those stories or facts. If a gun is used in any situation, the msm will only highlight or carry the story IF it fits within the current political agenda. If we are lucky, our local media will cover the story, and it might get picked up on some secondary outlets, such as Blaze or Freedom News, but it will never see the light of day at NBC, ABC, CNN, or the NY Times and Washington Post.

Lets face it few want to believe our government would want to take our liberties away. And for many years those who actually stated and or used the true reason and meaning for the 2nd Amendment, where considered right wing extremist. Looked down on by many as over reacting, nut jobs, extreme gun nuts. Now we find our selves people who thought they would never be saying the 2nd Amendment is to actual to protect us from our own Government are saying it. Those extremist may still be nuts, but there was truth in what they said, we just did not want to admit it, our Government would never do that.

As far as Left leaning agendas or Right wing agendas both sides have their extremes. And both sides justify taking freedom from people based on some thing they could do and not something they have actually done. Both sides will lie, twist facts, leave out facts and ignore facts, to justify their needs and desires to control others, get revenge what ever the case may be. Do gooders on both sides of the fence are dangerous, they both use the death of children to further their twisted agenda, an agenda that in the long run actually fixes nothing. But does steal the liberty of other wise good people. I fear someone who has no Morals just as much as someone who believes they are acting on or in Gods behalf.
It is an old story, But the moral of the Churchgoer story is that those who want to do harm will and do choose places where they believe they will meet the least resistance. Gun Free zones being a good one. History should show us that banning any thing only drives it under ground and in the end usually makes things worse. The cure is worse than the disease. When reason is replaced by just plain hate for something no matter how noble it may seem or look at face value, the out come is usually not that noble.
