when i logged in today i see that there was only

Swamper, that's probably indicative of the number of people who actually visit the site. Remember that the club has over 850,000 members, but only about half of that number are even registered users of the site. Then, if you peruse all of the forums and threads, you will notice that there are probably less than 100 regular users on a daily basis, and only about 200 or so who visit the site on a weekly basis. I believe that the registered member numbers are comprised mostly of one time users who came, saw, complained, and left. Also, there are many duplicate registrations due to all of the updates the board has undergone; many of those users had to choose a new user name as a result of the "improvements" to the site. The bad thing is that many people don't realize that they are missing out on one of the best benefits of membership when they don't participate on the site.

BTW, I also believe that a lot of active members only come straight to the forums or enter the contests and then come to the forums, without ever looking at the homepage.  Oh and the count is up to 418 as I posted this reply.

Most of the regular users who used to be on here every single day got banned for whatever reason and are now on another site. As RT noted the numbers of users are low and then again as he noted most just enter the contest and then come here. I know this is what I do and I have been a LM for years and I come here mostly to try and offer my experience and advice to those in the FIREARMS FORUM. I can and do post elsewhere when I see somethng that interest me or it is posted by other LM's and longtime Club friends. Also WELCOME as I believe this is the first of your post that I have seen or replied to.

The total number of votes is now at 489; but, the upsetting thing is that 81 respondents indicated that NO they have not contacted their elected officials, and 15 indicated they DO NOT PLAN TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I voted, and I even put my wifes vote in too.

Now it's 92 No, and 18 don't plan to!!!!!!!!! Are these people really gun owners???????????
