I heard just enough on the radio today to make me nervous. The dems want to raise our taxes and chase the rich out of the state. Ala NY but they also have proposed new gun regs that will make my ruger mark III mags illegal again ala NY. Hey St. Paul, has any one heard of and understands what unintended consequences are? -MD |

I don't know why these won't hyperlink. You can either copy and paste, or with Windows7 you can highlight them then instead of copying you can use the "Open Link" option.
Or as I just learned, you can hit reply "to this post". When you do you will see my post above the reply box. Those links are active. You can click on them from there and they work.

At lease some Democrats agree with us. I got the following from Representative David Dill <!--[if gte mso 9]>

the highest NRA rating in the USA ansd will continue to represent the folks at
home in that style and manner. David

2/16/2013 9:06 AM >>>Representative Dill, Some of the proposed legislation has me
concerned. MN already requires background checks by county sheriffs to
purchase hand guns and “assault riffles”. I would suggest better funding
for the background checks and enforcement laws against felons possessing
firearms. One proposal would ban 10 round magazines in semiautomatic
guns. A double action revolver is a semiautomatic weapon. It is not
uncommon for 22 caliber revolvers to hold 10 rounds. A true assault riffle is fully automatic. These types
of weapons have been banned from the general public for 80 years. Mark<!--[if gte mso 9]>

On the good new HF 241(assult weapon ban) and 242(high capacity mag ban) have been shot down for advancement this legislative session, they couldn't get enough support on the state level, but of course they are hoping similar bills get through on the national level. |

Mark, I'm not sure of the region, but from reading other posts it would seem as though Kaycee is from MN. had moved to FL. and has now moved back to MN.
Kaycee, in light of recent events both in the MN. legislature, as well as the U.S. Senate I would have too say that there is at least some hope of some common sense.
However I do wish that the MN. legislature could come up with an original thought instead of trying to clone the laws of states like NY, or CA.

Tom, it's impossible to ever figure out what the heck we're going to get here in MN.
At one point the people voted for a conservative State House, and Senate... In the same election they voted in a liberal Governor who in the past had been the worst U.S. Senator this state has had in recent history... I mean WTH???
Today we have a liberal majority in both the State House, and Senate, as well as a liberal Governor.
As I've said before, at this point in time I do not have one State, or U.S. Senator or Representative that I voted for, nor do I have a Governor, or President that I voted for.
