I'm all for plastic knives. Maybe KH knows someone to bring it up to their elected officials. You all know that all this banning works. Just don't want to admit it. Just look at Chicago. |

Yes- Canada (and our 600 homicides per year) are no where near as civilized as the U. S.(and your 15,000 homicides per year). Thanks for pointing this out. |

British banned the carrying of knifes. And with 311 million fire arms in the USA and sales going through the roof with ammo going with it, how in the heck can you control it? Say all you want, most of these weapons will go to ground if the ban passes. Then only the crooks will have them. Lawful people will be at their mercy in this drug war we are having. And for a little info an AR was not used in that school shooting just pistols. PS YH how did the hells angels get guns and bombs up there? |

I would imagine that just as the liberal media in the States love to publicize every murder committed with a gun, likewise the Canadian liberal media would prefer to follow the Government's lead and downplay gun violence in an effort to support the current gun restrictions. |

We have a few more people than you and laws that no one wants to enforce, doesn't have anything thing to do with civility. Whether they are shooting for that unattainable liberal utopia or control of the American people by taking guns, they are gunning for the impossible. |

Buy the way it is said that 90% of the killings are minorities on minorities regardless of collar .So that just keeps that portion of the population down . |

Thanks for pointing this out. Canada has 10% of our population so their murder rate is about 40% of ours. ... Wow. |

Thats what I was thinking CH. I guess it is not in the realm of common sense for a liberal to figure out that actually Canada's death rate by guns is most likely higher then the USA's because we have so many more people then they do. I am real curious to how the percentages work out then. LOL Of course our resident canucklehead would NOT believe it anyway. You would think they would have enough trouble up there in the land of no fun that he would have all the worries in the world without having to worry about us down here in the good ol USA. go figure. |

We also have 10 times Canada's population not including the illegals! There are approximately 7.4 million guns in Canada and 222 Million in the US. So Canada has a higher percentage of murders per guns as does the US!!!! There are other numbers that suggest there are 310 million guns in the US and just under 10 million in Canada. Using those same figures, again shows less murders per number of firearms in the US compared to Canada! We own 30X more firearms that Canada and have less murders per gun!!! Population is going up and the murder rate is going down... What does that mean? MORE GUNS = LESS CRIME!!! http://www.disastercenter.com/crime/uscrime.htm |

Guys, don't forget that them canuadianscks are in the metric system. Therefore all their calculations and numbers work correctly in their books. And we'll always be guilty because we did not bow down to HM. |

Boys- Why is it so difficult for you to think/ research before you post? Canada's homicide rate was 1.6/ 100,000 in 2011. Yours was 4.8/ 100,000. Canada's homicide rate by firearm is 0.51/ 100,000, while yours is 2.97/ 100,000. I guess it is not in the realm of common sense for a Conservative to figure out that means you are three times as likely to be murdered in the good old USA, and six times more likely to be gunned down. That said, please- don't let the facts stand in your way...

Explain what's wrong with the facts I provided?
I don't disagree we have a murder problem in this country... and it's going to get a lot worse if firearms are banned.
There is more to the problem than firearms and statistics... the break down of society and family values has set a chain of events that is becoming catastrophic.
Banning the means to protect oneself, will only add fuel to this fire storm of destruction in society.
Washington DC and Chicago are cesspools of laws gone wrong... they have the strickteist fire arm laws in the nation and the highest murder rates in the country!
Those statistics speak volumes against disarming those that are NOT criminals.

YH, what percentage of Canadian citizens is white or Native Indian compared to black and other nationalities? When considering gun homicides in the US, there is one very large and glaring fact. Most gun crimes are committed by non-whites and the overwhelming majority of those crimes are committed in major population centers where the non-white residents make up the majority of the population. I'd be willing to bet that if the gun crime numbers from cities like NY, Chicago, D.C., Detroit, and LA were discounted, not too mention smaller metropolitan areas such as Cleveland, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, and Miami, we'd see a number far less than Canada's!!! Regardless of how any organization wants to portray the numbers, the fact that black on black crime, followed by gang crimes are the two largest contributing factors to the homicide rate in this country; whether guns are used or not! That is indisputable, so your analogy fails to be a true comparative one. |
