The smoke coming out of the top of the barrel is from the porting of the barrels, porting helps to reduce muzzle jump. Every time I've ever shot skeet, which Obummer said he was doing, the birds are always thrown from a high house and a low house up into the air above the elevation of the shooter. This picture shows him to be shooting almost on a level plane.

NOPE.. HINT: HE must be an excellent shot!!!

One thing is certainly obvious. There is no doubt he's a left winger!! I believe this was photo shopped, though. Notice how high up on the shoulder the stock is? Look at the grip on the gun. Then there's the obvious parallel of the gun to the ground. IF he did actually shoot the gun, it was NOT at skeet.

so what if it is a real photo?as jon stewart pointed out, all it takes is a finger to fire a gun,even a monkey can do it.it doesn't change the fact that he is anti," citizens having guns."when he becomes dictator supreme I have no doubt he will  fire more guns ,into the brains of his political enemies and most likely some of our loved ones.

Something just doesn't look right in that picture .

I tend to believe it's a real picture. But again, as others have said, what difference does in make? He wants gun control, and he'll get it. Jeez, can't even shoulder the gun properly...

If it is real then it proves he has never been instructed on how to correctly do it. The barrel is not elevated, the stock is not tucked into the shoulder, his weight is not on his front right foot as it should be with him shooting left handed. One would think that they would have at least made sure he looked like he knew what he was doing. It's also strange that it took so long to release the pic.

Well how many of you sharp shooters out there use a "rifle" to skeet shoot? 

Inlarged picture and sense when do you have a front and read sight on a skeet gun .

Not sure what you see, but all I saw was a green fiber optic bead on the end of the muzzle.

According to the White House the gun is a Browning Citori, and from looking at the picture I believe that's exactly what it is. I also remember reading something from many years ago that Browning had donated several Citori's to Camp David, when the skeet range was originally remodeled and the trap range was added. If you study the picture, you can tell that the gun is an O/U, and the actual breech opening lever is discernable. With all of that said, it's still apparent that this was either photo shopped or staged, and I do not believe he actually fired the gun as depicted.

As for Cheney and his shooting incident, even the man who was shot, admitted that he was at fault, not Cheney! Besides, I'd much rather have gone hunting with Cheney than go for a ride with Ted Kennedy..........or any Kennedy for that matter!!!!!!!!!!!!

They probably took the powder and shot out, for a photo op in Michelle's garden behind the white house.
