With money being tight I am looking at getting a trail camera for myself. However I do not have the money for a cuddeback or one similar, so can anyone tell me btween the 2 or 3 that I am looking at which one is better or who has one and has used it with results, or if you can point me in the right direction. I am looking at spending about 130-150. I have a Gift Card to Jay's Sporting Goods for 50 so out of pocket I am looking at about 100. The 2 that I am really interested in are: Moultrie Game Spy D-55IR or the Spypoint IR-5. Does anyone have any others that they like in that price point?

I've had problems with the Moultrie...they seem to last about a yr...I have an older one(wht flash) and 2 D-55IR....Great cam when you first get it...then issues like total blk night "pics" ...trigger problems from lots of triggering on nothing to not triggering or way to slowly....poor customer service they make you jump through hoops..and try passing buck back on you for problems

I'm in your boat...looking at different brands...read all reviews carefully and from different sources

Badger1...I have been doing "research" for over 6 months reading reviews and everything else. I know what I really want to get but financially it is not feasible so I have to step down to a lower graded camera!

I know on sale you can get the Moultrie M-100 for about 150, Its a smaller line than the Game Spys and runs on double A's. I have had a couple for the past two years I have up and running from june thu January in Minnesota. They have lasted through the sticky summers and cold winters.
