Dr. Paul Houser, Bureau of Reclamation's science advisor/science
integrity officer fired, for exposing systematic scientific and
scholarly misconduct relating to the Klamath River Dam Removal Project.

Finkler, Deputy Commisioner of the Bureau of Reclamation, Dr. Houser's
boss and to whom he brought these allegations recommended he be fired.
Finkler who was employed by Trout Unlimited from 2004 to 2007, is
overseeing the Klamath River Restoration Project. Trout Unlimited is a
signatory to the Klamath River Project, creating a major conflict of
interest.
Finkler told Dr. Houser "First of all,
the Secretary wants to remove those dams, so your actions here arn't
helpful, they aren't helping the Department to meet it's goals." She
also stated "I support the idea of not making discoverable documents,
you have created a trail that could be discovered" the latter was in
reference to the way Dr. Houser handled the issue, ie; emails and
written complaints sent by Dr. Houser.
