As far as American slang goes I would liken the use of the word idiocracy to the use of the word irregardless, which means the same thing as regardless. Back in 1966 the use of the word irregardless was considered poor use of the term regardless, but not necessarily wrong as the word is listed in my dictionary.

LD- Good call. I have no problem with "idiocracy"- but I don't guess some of you see the irony in calling other people stupid, and using the term "prejudist" in the same sentence.
ckell- It isn't your spelling that makes you ignorant- it's your views. In another thread, where I believe I referred to you as stupid, I apologized. You didn't have the grace to accept it. That was the last one you'll get. You want to pick a fight? Have at 'er.

The problem with people like Caruba is EXACTLY what you say in your tag line- if you tell a lie often enough, people will believe it. His crap has all been disproven- any fact check site will show that- but, as long as the lie supports your political cause, and you KNOW most people won't check the facts, why not continue to tell it? The REAL truth of the matter is- most people don't want the truth. They want what they want to hear. (I like that... I believe that will be my new tag line.)

I suppose it's more appropriate to believe Obama and the liberal talking heads, than any source that might offer an opposing point of view.  To quote Jack Nicholson's line "You can't handle the truth"!

Kukun, I remember you said good points, I do not remember an apology with the words I Apologize. If I did mess that, I apologize, nothing requiers the acceptance of an aoplogy, but it is proper acknowledge it. I may have messed a slightly cloaked one. Now you say you gave one, but that well be the last. I would hope there would be no need for another for the reason you gave that one, to which now that it has be pointed out I do Humbly accept.

Can I assume you prefer to hear ,what you want to hear?

The truth... how do you find the truth?

The media in the US have been enamored with Obama and have refused to do their job of reporting the truth!

Instead... jumping to conclusions ,misrepresentations, distortions, and lies have been their chosen path!

Where do you go... who do you listen to?

Both parties are as corrupt as the other, only a nation of laws can survive... not gangs!

The Democrats are on a full out assault of everything and everyone that are against their beliefs and plans... they will take no prisoners!

They're willing to do and say anything to accomplish their goal... it's a shame the ones that use to do good, are as corrupt as those they're reporting on!

Use the fact check sites... snopes, factcheck.org, politifacts. Have a look at the information shared- clearly, despite what some would have you believe, these sites are actually digging for the truth- neither is especially friendly to the Obama Administration.

YH, interestingly enough, from the different times I've bothered to look at those sites, I've failed to see where Obama has been shown to be wrong. Conversely, I've also never seen a conservative shown to be correct! I'm not disputing your claim, just pointing out that I haven't personally seen where your claim is actually true. Especially snopes, if I remember correctly it was factcheck that provided the dirt on the husband and wife team that own snopes, several years ago.

I know that snopes has been proven wrong on several times on mining and land rights that Blamer and his liberal communist Marxists are doing .Even the Lawyer that is handling the lawsuit here in CA has made fools out of them on several acasions .
